In urban area we are very likely to see pigeons, seagulls and crows/ravens.
They are in abundance ,very adaptive and thriving absolutely well.
Thats alone command admiration and respect.
Some people called them pest but they are my saviours in getting through my thick and thin.
They are my therapist, my gurus and my family who taught me more than any man could.
I also enjoyed watching the ducks, the magpies, the lone gargantuan heron and swans here in Dublin.
There is also this chunky clumsy dove which is also a babe.He loved telling me that hes around but very cautious that he would always keep some distance between us. Sort of hide and seek or shy shy cat in Malay.
He could easily trips when he walks because hes chunky.
Nevertheless, he sing his bird song effortlessly beautiful.
One cloudy chill morning I walked through the Trinity College, I heard him singing so loud but couldn't spot him anywhere.
It turned out he was just there on a branch staring at me, a blob of feathers above my head.
One day he flipped his wings against the branches so I can see him up above and some day he would just landed nearby doing his slow walk.
He is so gentle that he would even lost his food to pigeons.
In fairness, I can see myself in him.

Cik Jah, Maggie and dinasour are some of the names i gave them without consent.
I affectionately called most pigeons Cik Jah and magpies as maggie.
Dinosaur is reserved to that one solitary huge heron that would make cameo once a while. He can definitely fly me home if we come to agreement .
They are all beautiful and full of fascinating antics.
At times I think they are all paid actors.

The pigeons are the friendliest out of the bunch.
They are adorable ,very peaceful and always hungry.
Thankfully they arent that fussy on food.
I loved theirs slumber walks scouting for food on the ground.
If they found food they will summon the whole clan regardless of how much food available on the table.
I loved their cooing, what a lovely chest voice.
Few times I could hear them cooing very early in the morning , I thought I was hallucinating, what a psycho pigeons!
They must be taking refuged in the chimney.
I loved watching them chilling doing their things on the grass by the pond or just sitting quietly on the high tree branches.
It's a pleasure to see them over the window hanging out on the roof tops from my place or when am working out in the gym.
They are like my loyal no 1 fans "go go go!”
Our bonding all started about 2 months ago when a mother pigeon came to say hello at my place.
That was the very first time any bird swung by and gave me blessing.
She sat by the window for sometime keeping me company and I thought that was very nice of her.
My life was falling apart and she came making sure am okay.
I took her pics because that was really special moment to me.
She probably just tired and wanted a rest and couldn’t give a flying fuck.
Since then I had so many beautiful and memorable interactions with nature.
There is always something that will amused me or giggles me.
Its really a privillege to be part of their world. Who would have thought that one day these birds will save me.
When I first started feeding the pigeons, I remember how one pigeon loved hazelnut so much.
She circled me around fast with her eyes locked on me begging for more.
She went nut for nuts.
She jumped on my laps my hands and that was unexpected but hilarious.
Her claws were pretty sharp and honestly, she could do with a little trip to nail saloon.
Another pigeon chased me barefoot after I fed the whole family.
Am not sure if he demanding for more or just wanted to say thank you but I was like, bro you can actually fly why are you even running.
Spring and early summer are their mating season.
They could be quietly pecking scraps on the ground and suddenly the boys in heat.
The girls usually only cared about food.
Aroused, the boys will spread their’s neck feathers, tail and chest out to entice the not very horny female.
They do same sex courtship too and yes very inclusive pro LGBTQ indeed.
Despite their many numbers we never actually see their nest or babies.
I heard they are very bad at making nest.
Very mysterious altruistic birds.
Have you seen baby pigeon?
