I spent some good quality time at Phoenix Park this afternoon.

I been here millions times since the covid pandemic but this one is very special.

I got some mixed nuts and raisins from Lidl for the hungry birds.

This stunning city oasis , measuring about 707 hectares was established in 1662 by Duke Ormond.

The park wasn't busy but you can see homo sapiens here and there, just nice.

Thank god there was no homo sexual doing their fun ritual.

It is one of the biggest enclosed park in Europe and i think now is probably the best time to visit with the flowers in full bloom , the big towering welcoming trees waving in vibrant green and purple leaves, and the expanses of maturing yellow brownish grass covering the open fields , thick and lush.

The weather was very pleasant not scorching hot like yesterday but for change on the warm breezy side.

Just perfect.

I laid down a towel and sat on the open field.

It took sometime before the birds come around, initially just 2 baby crows then suddenly we had big afternoon party.

Despite their gangsta vibes, those seagulls love being fed just as much as the pigeons.

They surely deserved some love too.

After that, I struck lucky as 3 beautiful friendly Fallow deers were grazing near the obelisk.

They were camera ready too, amazing trio. It is estimated about 600 of them around and most are descendants from the original Fallow deers introduced way back from England.

From the obelisk, I walked through the meadows into the woods then towards the giant Cross before heading back to the main road.

This time I walked all the way with only my socks, at times I accidentally walked on thorny plants, pieces of wood and stones but it wasn't too bad.

The idea was to reconnect with mother earth, Gaia, to feel the ground beneath and the maturing grass.

Walking barefoot would be the best but it was pretty sore when i did it last time.

I said my gratitude to the earth, the trees, the grass , the animals because they helped me so much through my journey.

I came here many times with negative feelings, broken heart, despairs but now am healed am all positive and in a much better place physically and mentally.

I owed this place so much.

Am sure many would echo the same.

To Phoenix Park and the many hard working people behind this treasure, thank you so very much.
