I came to Dublin to study medicine in 2005 and graduated in the class of 2010 .

Being a doctor was huge but the biggest milestone to me is the chance to be free embracing my sexuality as gay and being truly myself without afraid of being judged or punished.

I had the great privilege to live the best gay era that I could ever wished for in Europe and I did it with a bang!

This was my renaissance.

Would I do it all over again ?

Yes, 100%!!

The gay scene here is amazing. The best stage to be gay ever ( am bias yes).

People are generally a lot more respectful. You do you really.

Differences and diversity are very okay and celebrated.

You can go to pretty much every places or the dedicated bars , clubs ( all sort of clubs), the over the top fun colourful prides. Gay marriage is legal if you on for that and the supports here are monumental, Prep is available for free and dedicated clinic to cater for the big community . Roughly as minimum as 18 people need to be treated to prevent one HIV infection for on demand Prep highlighting the highly effective primary prevention public health strategy.

None of these would happen at home where being gay is still very much condemned and stigmatised.

Gay donuts are normal and delicious too

I started clubbing late in my 30 but I caught up in no time.

I went to lots of party both the club party and the illegal raves mainly between 2015 to 2020. Clubbing was huge before covid and I been to almost all of them in Europe from the amazing massive party La Demence in Brussels ,Circuit in Barcelona , WE party and World Pride in Madrid to the legendary Hustlaball KitKat and Lab Oratory in Berlin and of course some of the best one in Dublin, Profile, Euphoria, Sweatbox , Bukakke and Mother.

At my prime, I could be in Sweatbox on Friday night and then flew over to either Brussels or Madrid for the weekend party.

My personal fav gay Mecca has to be Berlin- How can you not like Berlin? The gay vibe here is fab and those Germans are super hot and well packed. There also are more open to asian flavour like me and oh boy, they fed me very well. The cool city itself is very well connected with public transport and food and drinks are much cheaper. The sex scene here is oh la la , next level ,plenty of meat market to explore and satisfy your endless hunger. The sky is the limit !

Have to credit The Boiler , which is probably one of the best sauna in the world. The German love going to sauna on Sunday morning, and the talents , ich gut!!! hot model looking men. One major plus thing about the sauna is its very clean and spacious with excellent amenities that allow you to just chill if you not in the mood to play but I guarantee you will. Lab oratory is the perfect playground ,insanely wild but great fun. Entrance is cheap under 10 euros and the guys are hot and horny. The naked night on Thursday’ night and the 2 for 1 night on Friday are worth going for. They also have themed night such as leather , sportswear , watersport, fisting any many more. Expect at least 3 hours long queue to get in during special event and we did that in the freezing winter. The Ring in Madrid is another fav great spot for adult pleasures. If you never been to any of the places mentioned above then you missing the good stuff.

Don’t be shy , throw yourself out there get hammered dare to make mistakes as we only live in this mortal body once.

I remember the sense of pride coming out of the legendary Berghain with the sun already up high as if I had won the Olympic medal. Rumour has it that even Britney Spears was not allowed to enter Berghain.

The joy and satisfaction that I had really good night . On themed nights/ party , the gays could be in all sexy fetish leather wears which is my absolute fav! Great techno music with great fun people. On our side , due to the opening hours restriction, in Dublin most clubs closed at 0300 when you are still probably high but thank god because usually there be raves( Pushee been our saviour) and house party to keep you going.

The raves were fun and few time we got busted by police half way of the party.

We were partying pretty hard , easily Fri to Sunday most weekend for years.

With the party then come the dark side of it which is the drugs- if you go out clubbing or go to house party it is very hard not to do them. Most people do it . Drugs are fun and cheap, easily available and many like to get high in the club. That was an era and probably still the same. I did my first ecstasy in 2015 at Euphoria party in Button Factory. Ectasy was amazing for clubbing , you can 'dance' all night no problem. I blackouts few times, lost my tops many times and once I lost my way home. I also accidentally stole somebody’ Prada shoes and then stuck in the basement could not find the way out. We would take 1 ectasy at main party or club then another one at the raves . All together, 6 for the weekend!!. I remember the reckless me took 2 pills together at once because I didn’t feel it and then suddenly boom- all I know I was walking naked in La Demence . The funny part was getting sober and walking naked in a very packed club ! Standing ova!
