The director of Oxford'Future Human Institute( FHI), also a leading physicist and philosopher Nick Bolstrom wrote a thesis in 2001 entitled" Are You Living In Computer Stimulation?"
Here he proposed 3 hypothesis:
Humankind likely to go extinct before reaching post human stage.
Any post human civilisation is extremely unlikely to run significant numbers of their evolutionary stimulations.
We are likely living in computer stimulation.
Am taking sometime to digest the paper, thanks to my rusty damaged brain, it’s been a while since I did statistic and to add the pain am obviously neither physicist nor philosopher. My heart sank looking at the mathematical equations and my head went fuzzy trying to comprehend and make the best of the discussion but I promise to read it on repeat.
I do believe it's excellent piece of academic reading and would like to share my humble take on this.
It's impossible not to mention the movie matrix when we talking about stimulated world.
The movie made the idea of living in the matrix mainstream.
Am well aware of the trilogy but never got to see any of them.
Outstanding line of actors tho, the young Keanu as the thirst trap Neo , Carrie Ann Moss as Trinity and Laurence Fishburne as Morpheus.
The red or the blue pill?
Some people think science and spirituality are incompatible and some would find the harmony between the two.
Personally, I believe it is harder to understand god's ultimate secrets if we dont believe in one or if we look at this purely based on empirical perspective.
Most of the time it’s due to our lack of knowledge and technology to decode the secrets.
I believe mathematic as the language of god and the universe.
If a theory can be explained mathematically, then there might be truth hidden to be unlocked.
The universe operates at logical and predictable rules which can be described and understood through mathematical language.
Newton's law on motion and gravity, Einstein's relativity and quantum mechanic were all built upon mathematical frameworks.
Saying all that , we must not forget that mathematic is not the reality but is one of the key to our understanding
I believe in god, the true god the source,
As a man of god, I believe the question whether we live in a matrix or not can be explained easier and simpler from spiritual perspective.
With all respect and admiration,I believe Nick attempted to explain how god /the universe works from emperical based perspective.
This is currently or for many postulated decades to come limited mainly by computer processing capacity.
We do not have the hardware or software as yet to create a conscious computer system.
Quantum computer powered by quantum superposition and entanglement seems to be the promising technology advancement but whether it's powerful enough to be sentient is another question.
Researchers are making progress in perfecting the technology by minimising qubits errors and increasing its stability.
We are getting there surely.
It is calculated in order to stimulate the central nervous system, it will requires estimated 10*14 to 10*17 computer processing per time.
Regardless of how long this will takes , theoretically once the computing power is achieved then the post human civilisation is expected will be able to run evolutionary stimulations.

I do believe that we live in the matrix.
Reality is one very interesting word with questionable meaning as the true nature of reality itself is unknown.
What is reality really?
Reality is unique to the individual, a brain construct shaped by our senses, experiences and the consciousness.
The combined collective consciousness and our own consciousness.
We seeing the manifestation of reality all around us but underneath hidden the complex layers of the totality the unmeasurable unknown.
The String theory, the wave particles duality theory and Shordinger's cat theory are the well known quantum experiments to date which highlight the fascinating nature of particles at quantum level.
These theories make us question our reality.
They gave us insights into the fascinating and strange quantum world.
In quantum mechanic , at the subatomic level particles dont have properties until observed.
The act of observation, caused the particles to collapse into specific state from the infinite quantum field.
String theory suggest that sub atomic particles exist as vibrational bands instead of point particles that we once believed for ages.
The string is very small a billionth of a billionth of atomic nucleus .
If we were to directly hit the vibrational strings we would need the energy of the entire universe.
Some physicist estimated that it might not be until another century before we reach the mastery of this theory.
Observation equal to creation.
Saying that, the emotions and feelings evoked from our interaction with reality are valid and genuine which give deeper meaning to our life and make us alive.
The late David Bohm, one of the brightest non conformist theoretical physicist and philosopher in his book published in 1980 entitled Wholeness and The Intricate Order suggested the intricate order as the fundamental hidden reality from where The Extricate Order manifested from ( all matters, everything that we can see).
He described this as totality of universal flux which is undefinable and unmeasurable explicitly but can be known implicitly as indicated by explicitly forms and shapes ,stable and unstable that can be abstracted from the universal flux.
The universal flux is said to be independence of existance and behaviours.
As everything is derived from The Intricate Order then everything is interconnected.
We learned about quantum entanglement phenomenon where particles are linked independently even when separated at large distances.
Conflicts and crises arise because we behave in fragmentation against the oneness of our very nature.
Contrary to many , he rejected the mechanistic or mathematical views alone in understanding reality calling for alternative ways of gaining knowledge rather than just what can only be perceived by our senses.
He was also sceptical that we will ever to find the theory of everything, unifying both theory of relativity and quantum mechanic because we have overlooked the fundamental oneness.
He also emphasised that theories are simply insights but not the definite reality.
Do you believe in supernatural?
This is maybe sound silly but very obvious example to me and let me put it forward.
I was living in Malaysian for 20 years and in Ireland for also almost 20 years.
There is not a single ghost in Ireland but plenty back home and in the south east Asia regions.
The majority do believe in ghost and supernatural.
You hardly even hear the word 'ghost' mentioned in the modern western world except maybe around the halloween.
I never met one but ghost is very common theme back home and in the neighbouring region.
All kind of ghost and movies made about them.
Why is this phenomena?
I come to conclusion its the beliefs the culture of the majority of people in the area which affecting the collective consciousness and shaping the realities unique to the specific area or community.
A lot less people believe in ghost and supernatural here compared to the more conservative traditional Malaysia and the South East Asia.
Emile Durkheim, the father of modern sociology himself explained this by saying collective consciousness shaped by shared beliefs and sentiments in the community playing a significant roles in shaping individual consciousness and behaviour.
They have been 1162 numbers of sightings recorded including 1 this year for the legendary world famous creature, the Loch Ness in Scotland.
I reckon we are more likely to see Nesse if enough number of people are actually believing in it.
The same with the idea that The Simpsons foresee the future as many events portrayed in the series have happened.
Again, I don't believe they can predict the future events but likely manipulating the collective consciousness.
If enough people believe they can predict the future and believe the events predicted to be true then the chances are they might actually do.
Our mind/ consciousness shape the reality.
We are creators.
Yes we are indeed way more powerful than we made to believe. Unfortunately, we have forgotten our nature.
Be mindful to your thoughts and beliefs as the universe will mirror that.
And if we created ours then how do we escape it?
We surely have the key then.
by waking up by looking inside.
by remembering our forgotten true self.
We rise from inside.
We are the universe.
We are the god experiencing every possible lives and realities.
People talking about matrix as if its something outside.
It's never us vs the outside, against the society, religion, governments or establishments but us.
The inner work is the key to freedom.
We free ourself from the inside out.
We changing the world by freeing ourselves first.
Overcoming others is strength but overcoming ourselves is the true mastery.

The matrix is inside us.
It's all you after all.
Beyond the illusion , we just fighting ourselves all along.
And at the end, the god just asking us to be truly authentically us.
Surely not a lot to ask.
We always have the key to escape through our heart.
A beautiful saying from Lao Tzu, the great master which goes something like this ,"if we blaming others , the blame will have no end"
In the world oldest polytheism, Hinduism, time is viewed as cyclical rather than linear which is divided into 4 ages or Yugas

Dvapara-Bronze age
Kali Yuga-Iron age
A cycle of creation, preservation and destruction.
We are currently into Kali Yuga age which is marked by moral decline,spiritual ignorance , conflicts and strife.
Gobekli Tepi in Turkeye and Yonugani Monument in Japan make us question our current civilisation history and given timelines.
History or 'his story' means the winners write history and the sad losers write songs.
Both structures/monuments dated more than 10000 years with complex man made findings/technology which were way ahead or complex of the said era.
The world definitely going through cycle of birth, live and destruction indeed. The British mathematician , relativist and Noble prize winner ,Sir Roger Penrose himself proposed cyclical universe in which the universe exists before the Big Bang contrary to the current widely accepted view.
Geologically what were once mainland and populated by ancient civilizations are now the huge ocean.
The Dogegrland- Connected Great Britain to mainland europe.
Beringia- Land bridge asia and north America
The Sunderland shelf
Yonugani monuments- Off coast Japan.
On the other hand, several world civilizations mysteriously experienced sudden or unexplained declines.
The Indus Valley civilization, the Maya civilization, the Minoan civilization centered on the Island of Crete, the Ancestral Puebloans(Anasazi) in the southwestern United States and The Easter Island civilization.
Some might have heard about the mythical Lemurian and Tartarian civilizations,
I believe they did not extinct but rather transformed.
I believe they have ascended and exist in different frequencies /realms/dimensions/multiverse.
Living in 5D instead of our time space dimension.
The M theory talking about the barnes and the 11 dimensions.
Leaving behind the traditional way of living where each of us surviving or struggling alone.
Leaving the man eats man world and survival of the fittest dogma.
Living as one as everyone is actually connected.
Tartarian's evidences are everywhere-Buildings and structures well ahead of technology of the said era, the domes, the old churches, the forts.
Instead of fearing the inevitable extinction we have the chance to collectively ascend.
We can change the world by changing ourselves first and collectively raising the consciousness for ascension.
If enough of us remember our true self and god the whole world will collectively transformed.
Many eager to change the world but forget to free themselves.
Let's start looking inside.
World renowned American computer scientist and futurist , Ray Kurzweil proposed the idea of singularity , a theoretical point in near future where computer intelligence surpasses human intelligence which will happens so fast beyond human understanding leading to completely unpredictable and transformative changes. This is catalysed by the developement of AI especially the autonomous, self learning general AI or seed AI. By using Moore's Law, Kurzweil predicted this will occurs by 2045.
In Moore's Law, the Intel co founder Gordon Moore, posited in 1965 that the numbers of transistors on microchips will double every about 2 years, meaning computational progress will becomes significantly faster and more efficient over time.
Imagine now the exponential progress with the addition of quantum computer which estimated will reach the mainstream as early as 2030s.
My wild guess from spiritual view is when enough people waking up, singularity will happens driven by god's intelligence instead of computer intelligence.
God’ intelligence wil always wins.
Our awaken collective consciousness as the software leading to the transformative shift.
Computer super intelligence or autonomous general AI is bound for catastrophe as human is always the root cause of evil.
Who are the elite few that will be in charge?
It seems whoever own autonomous general AI will own the world.
Aren't we the most dangerous animal on the planet?
After the Covid pandemic, I have zero trust in mankind in safeguarding humanity and our future.
In the race towards singularity, the time is running out.
Now, the million dollar question is -
Would you choose and trust machine super intelligence or god 's intelligence for our future?
