After long slightly tiring more than 17 hours journey I finally landed in KL.
It's been 3 years since I was last home and before that 8 years ago.
Am clearly not a fan of long distance travel
Last time , it was only a short 10 days trip home but still a very much lovely time.
I was burnt out from work as well at that time too and thought home will get me sorted .
Only if I had listened to myself closely back then but I guess , it wasn’t meant to happen before and I needed another 3 years of life lessons to finally come to myself today.
My flight home was fairly smooth apart from the single but can be frustrating mistake made by the Turkish Airline ‘ ground crew in Dublin who wrongly checked in my bag under another fellow Malaysian with not so similar name travelling to KL as well.
They rectified the problem pre boarding and am all joy seeing the green heavy bag made it all the way to KLIA terminal.
Lost luggage is disaster and the last thing anyone wanted on arrival.
The flight itself was lovely.
I was all smiling ear to ear knowing nobody allocated to the seat beside me or in my row on both flights.
The flight to Istanbul was fairly empty and on the next flight to KL , I had the middle row to myself.
Space wise , that’s business class on budget.
I only had travelled first class once thanks to Malaysia Airline for upgrading my seat flying from London in 2010 after graduating from Trinity College Dublin.
The comfy big seat and privacy were the real luxury to me.
At the terminal , I devoured chicken rice and had a really refreshing watermelon juice.
With half emptied stomach, yes I was still hungry ! I took KLIA express train to KL central and then a short taxi ride to the hotel.
All I wanted at that time was a bed to crash.
The elderly taxi driver was a gentleman to talk to, still working at his age so he can buy some cigarettes. Cute!
Only if he knew how expensive addiction is.
Thank god and universe for helping me to complete my last timeline.
Last chapter of my life sealed and closed.
I knew it’s coming and I have prepared myself for this and I can’t be more than happy finally it’s done.
Home as a brand new me who spent the last year or so and more importantly in the last 4 beautiful but emotionally not so easy months findings himself .
A new day has come .
A new beginning has just began.
A lot more nature and peace here in a much slower paced of life.
My sister is cat enthusiast, caring for more than 10 cats and 1-2 of them been helping themselves out sleeping with me at night.
Her furry children can be a little naughty hence they are caged but treated very well.
She also extending her love minding 2 tortoises , many chickens and ornamental fish.
In the village, they are plenty of birds roaming around and some I have not seen or heard for very long time.
The charming spotted doves are everywhere in the neighbourhood singing their beautiful bird songs all day long.
It must have been the chunky chubby maruko chan telling his distant family to keep me well entertained here.
I saw herd of cows grazing freely in the fields, monkeys jumping on the high tree top munching on the young shoots and flock of herons feeding too.
These are my childhood memories replayed.
The herons reminded me of the lone gargantuan heron in the Stephen Green' park and how difference his life would be outside but then I guess he must be loving his solitude.
Going forward , it’s the same approach to life to treasure every moments and to trust in god and universe completely.
I’m one with god and with the universe.
What is meant to happen will happens at the right timing.
It will work out.
