Today I came to Aboaba for lunch.

A little late but on purpose because I took a nap and to escape the busy lunch hours.

This is very nice cash only fast service authentic Vietnamese restaurant with enough indoor seating and roofed outdoor area as well.

I have not been here like forever .

2 years to be exact since I moved to my current flat.

When I was living in Smithfield for 6 years , I came here a lots as I will pass through Capel Street on my way home from work and they closed later than most places.

Large spicy pho , vegetables spring rolls and iced crushed lychee boba were usually the standard order.

The large spicy beef pho is spicy but you still have to add a bit off chilli oil for that extra oomphh. Add a slice of lemon if you like for tangy perfection.

The portion is huge and I can eat it for dinner and breakfast. For breakfast, I simply add 2 eggs onto the broth and it’s amazingly good.

I remember the lovely staff lady who served me all the times once gave out to me because I didn’t finish the large noodle( frequent offender) and asked me to get the smaller portion instead .

I thought customer always right lol.

Of course she said it in humorous sister and brotherly ( or sistah) manner.

She was there when am ordering my food. We acknowledged each other because it’s been a very good while.

She must be thrilled this fantastic fucker still around.

It’s great to see her .

I think it’s nice to see the happy face of the people who feed us.

And am very happy too.
