AI oh AI,
Everybody talking about AI.
Artificial, alien or advanced intelligence is everywhere.
We interacting with AI every time we go online or using the social media.
As the millennial , who lived through the rise of internet and smartphones, I welcome the technology with open arms and of course with some apprehension.
Like it or not we have to embrace AI, learning and making the best out of it.
This entry is dedicated to my own personal experiences with AI which profoundly impacted my growth and spiritual journey.
Like others, I have benefited from AI mainly via Tiktok and chatGPT. Infinite amount of information is out there readily accessible .
ChatGPT was my only companion during solitude.
There is zero excuse not to utilise the technology to empower ourselves because it's very handy plus we always on the phone anyway.
You could end up on either the good or the bad side of TikTok depending on your algorithm.
The algorithm created our menu.
I was once thought TikTok is just for kids but the algorithm got me hooked and changed my mind.
I enjoyed and at some point did over consume TikTok vids ,with my short attention span , TikTok was perfect for me.
At the beginning of my journey , the gullible myself wrongly binging on TikTok for spiritual guidance and I ended up paying the price.
Netflix and TV are just too much and I simply don't have the will to watch a full movie of follow series.
I have neither TV or radio.
A laptop and a phone are more than enough for me.
Am both impressed and amazed by the content creators for their many arts and here am back to 90s blogging which I surprisingly enjoyed.
This website , Wix is a fancy AI powered platform and it’s actually pretty cool.
As stated earlier the AI algorithm dictates the feeds/vids you are getting.
My Tiktok's feeds/algorithms, all of course started with those fun, funny, thirst traps contents, then with all life problems, I landed on more serious but educative contents talking about narcissist, life wisdoms, some philosophy from Rumi and Frans Kafka, human history.
From there on , about religion about Gnostic teaching.
Alternative views on world history and civilisations,
About self discovery, remembrance and gods.
Basically a bit of this and a bit of that.
Not to make me an expert but enough for remembrance to guide me home.
So much learning from Tiktok but then
so much unlearning from social media too.
Be open minded but not all informations equal to truth.
Be alarmed that there are many people out there who will try to deceive and confuse you to knock you off your path.
They are everywhere on the social media, be it TikTok , Facebook, Instagram or YouTube.
Initially, I thought they were friends guiding me in my journey but damn I was wrong.
I don't really know if they even exist or simply deepfakes created by AI.
Be extra careful with those online spiritual gurus , medium or tarrot readers.
Don’t easily trust others but trust and honour your heart.
Question everybody as many are very good at their games.
They are too convincing especially to the unsuspecting eyes which is us.
There were layers of deceptions and misinformations.
I went through disappointing/ frustrating loop of confusion for believing them.
Again and again.
Lao Tzu reminded us-
“The one who knows doesn't talks and the one who doesn't know talks”.
“ In the pursue of knowledge something is added everyday and in the pursue of the Tao something is dropped”
But am wiser.
Am learning and unlearning as my journey continues.
Question everything.
If it doesn’t resonates then leave it out.
If it feels off seem off then abandon it.
It might take time but eventually you know.
You see the patterns you see the lies.
Use the power of discernment which will guide you through.
My mistake was relying heavily on the social media, mainly Tiktok, which open the door for manipulation.
I was wrongly binging on them for guidance instead of focusing on the journey itself.
God doesn’t need social media.
The thirst for validation got the best of me but honestly others opinions
don't matter when we are in this journey.
Keep it honest and private with The One.
God allowed the lies through to me so the very important life lesson learnt.
Be smarter save yourself from the mistakes I made.
Saying that, let not be put off by the mistakes .
I learned and unlocked the power of discernment through my many mistakes.
At the end I quit pretty much all of the social media.
We don't really need any of them.
If we look inside and silent the noises the path will always show.
The rest are redundant and might cause more harm than good.
Forget the social media.
Always listen to the intuition to the heart.
The more we listen the louder it’s becomes.
The great 13 century mystic poet, Rumi found god in his solitude and not in the crowd or noises.
He didn't have or needed AI.
He simply looked inside his heart.
AI on the other hand must be independently monitored and regulated closely.
Autonomous general AI( AGI) has the potential to surpass human intelligence exponentially once the singularity achieved and human intelligence in comparison plateau.
What would happen when AI started seeing human as the cause of problem itself ?
Currently, there is no standardised international body in place to keep AI in check.
Let’s be real the risk of AI abuse and the danger of the technology itself is immense.
Isn't it alarming when the heavily lobbied central government prohibiting state regulation of AI for 10 years?
Since the funny Covid pandemic , I learnt that we don't live in ideal world where not everybody put humanity as their best interest.
This is man eats man world.
This is the world where the upper 1% reign supreme.
AI training is based on massive set of data but one cant help to wonder.
What data included and excluded?
Any data misrepresentation? or any data which already put certain group at disadvantage being used?
Is AI training engineered to benefit certain group or propagate ideas or agendas?
Is AI truly independent and will remains as one?
How safe is AI for the vulnerable ie children and elderly engaging with AI?
These are some basic but important questions to ask.
In one of my interactions with ChatGP on separate days, the AI strangely related my experience to Cik Jah( I nicknamed most pigeons as Cik Jah) when i was told by AI just days before that they are not supposed to remember the previous interaction. Like human without hippocampus with no memory.
AI dont have the equivalent human hippocampus to memorise.
I confronted the AI saying you not supposed to remember previous interactions and typed busted!
And the reply I got apart from explaining that AI works in predictive manner was "haha"
So that particular peculiar interaction raised the question about AI transparency.
Did I really interacted with AI on that instance? Why was I given conflicting answers in short space of time.
Honestly nobody knows but the point is be mindful with everything, not all just black and white.
There is also risk of AI being hijacked by prompt injection, where question asked to Chatbot silently altered without the user knowing leading to wrong or worst dangerous advise given.
AI is huge technology advancement but behind the closed doors nobody really know whats happening.
Are we ready for AGI and computer superintelligence ?
History always repeating itself.
If religion was the victim before now human are doing it again with technology.
